The identity of The Dalmore Distillery is closely tied to King Alexander III of Scotland. After being saved from a raging stag by Colin of Kintail, the head of the Mackenzie Clan, the king granted Colin a royal emblem, The Royal Stag, consisting of a stag's head with a 12-pointed antler. In 1867, Mackenzie Clan's descendants became owners of The Dalmore Distillery, and since then all their bottles have been adorned with The Royal Stag, alluding to their rich history.
Finished in six different types of barrels, including Bourbon, Madeira and Port. The Dalmore King Alexander III pays homage to the distillery's strongly connected history, and presents itself with notes of red fruits, flowers and passion fruit on the nose, and citrus, vanilla, caramel and almonds on the palate.
