The Glenlivet has a history as rich as its whiskies. Born in 1824 in northern Scotland, it stands out as the first mild whisky of its time. It was even recommended by the famous writer Charles Dickens, and supplied about half of the whisky consumed in the United States in the mid-20th century.
The Glenlivet 18 Year Old is a balanced, rich and elegant whisky, aged in a combination of American oak barrels and Jerez barrels, which give it a fruity character and hints of spice, respectively. On the nose it presents aromas of toffee and fruit, which translate into a citrus flavor, with orange bursts and a touch of spice. The finish is long, with notes of raisins and spices.
