Claxton's is a family business, proudly independent and unaffiliated with any single distillery, choosing to select only the best casks according to their strict criteria. Each edition of a Claxton's comes from only one barrel, ensuring that each edition is unique, reflecting in the whisky the unique characteristics of each barrel used.
This edition comes from Glenrothes Distillery in Speyside, and was aged for 11 years in a barrel previously used for aging bourbon and Pedro Ximénez sherry.
