In the mid-19th century, at the Chivas brothers' grocery store in Aberdeen, James and John ventured into the aging and blending of whiskies in response to the growing demand from their clientele for good quality whisky. The whisky itself comes from the oldest still operating distillery in Scotland, Strathisla Distillery, founded in 1786.
The world's first luxury whisky is an enticing fruity blend. A smooth regular presence in New York's high society since 1909. This legendary whisky has been through a lot: it has survived not one, but two world wars, as well as the dry law, to be reborn as a masterpiece and forever hailed and honored.
